About Morgan Munoz, PT, DPT

Hi, I’m Dr. Morgan Munoz, founder of Equinox Physical Therapy & Wellness. I earned my undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a focus on Clinical Rehabilitation and a minor in Biology from Sacramento State University, followed by my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Baylor University. My deep fascination with health, wellness, and the body’s ability to heal itself guided me toward this path. I love helping others discover their strength and potential, empowering them to move with confidence. I truly believe that when people can participate in life to the fullest, the world becomes a better place. My passion for barbell and kettlebell work has shaped my approach to strength and movement, and I integrate these tools into my practice to build resilience and confidence in my clients.

Sometimes, pain and injuries can prevent us from living fully, and that’s where I come in. I love working with individuals who want to get the most out of life—whether that means overcoming nagging issues, achieving high-level physical goals, or simply moving without fear or limitation. My approach is deeply rooted in biomechanics, with a strong appreciation for the nervous system's role in how we move and heal. Every body is unique, and I take pride in tailoring solutions to each person’s specific challenges and goals. Before becoming a physical therapist, I spent years as an assistant trainer at a hunter jumper barn, where I developed a keen eye for movement mechanics, body awareness, and the relationship between strength and control.

To me, health and wellness mean being ready for whatever life throws your way. It’s about moving confidently, without fear, and not letting your body hold you back. I enjoy empowering people to accomplish things they once thought were impossible—whether it’s running a marathon, keeping up with their kids, or simply living pain-free.

My Philosophy

Creativity drives my practice, helping me craft unique solutions to movement challenges. I believe there are multiple ways to solve movement problems, and I’m here to help you find the one that works best for you. Sometimes, we need someone to believe in our potential before we can see it ourselves. That’s where I come in—to help you believe you can get better and achieve your goals.

Balance is another cornerstone of my philosophy, but it’s not always about equal parts. Life can demand that we focus more on one thing and let others go temporarily. The key is knowing when and how to shift that focus to maintain sustainability. My approach is unique because I listen to you, your challenges, and what your life needs right now, crafting a plan that works for your individual journey.
